THAN A PICTURE OF 35 BULK PREPARED CHICKEN, RICE & BROCCOLI MEALS NEATLY PACKED INTO SINGLE USE TUPPERWARE, FRESHLY POSTED TO INSTAGRAM ON A SUNDAY NIGHT!..

And lets not forget the carefully curated hashtags just to let you know that the poster is in fact 'about-that-life' and will be '100%-on-it' this week...

As long as '100%-on-it' means; eating 35 of the driest looking meals you've ever seen in your life, that is!

But just in-case you're under the impression that a post like this is meant to 'motivate-and-inspire', I'm here to tell you that:

A POST LIKE THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A SELF AGRANDISING DISPLAY, TO LET YOU KNOW THAT YOU'RE SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH...WHEN IT COMES TO MEAL PREP.

And that you're just a mere mortal in the field of; packing enjoyment free food into a BPA free container.

And even though their post displays what many would consider:

'THE PERFECT DEPICTION OF AN EATING DISORDER'

The poster is in-fact 'Hardcore-AF' and anybody that doesn't see it is just a 'casual'.

Okay, okay so I'm obviously taking the mickey, but come on...

Who the f*** wants to eat the same thing 5 times per day for a week (minimum)?..

Nope me neither!

In-fact, I've never been a fan of the whole 'bulk-prep' thing..

Unless of-course you're in a very small minority of people that 'genuinely' don't have the (resources):

time

money

A kind-hearted person

To prepare your food each day.

And let's be honest; 

HOW MOTIVATIONALLY SAPPING WOULD IT BE TO KNOW THAT YOU'VE GOT 35 IDENTICAL MEALS TO EAT EACH WEEK...

Even if it was pizza?!

THE SOLUTION

AT SHAPESHIFTERS WE LIKE OUR CLIENTS TO SPEND (JUST) 30 MINUTES PER DAY ON MEAL PREP (GENERALLY WHEN THEY FINISH WORK).

Which usually means;

THAT WHILST THEY'RE FRESHLY COOKING THEIR EVENING MEAL, THEY ALSO PREPARE THEIR LUNCH FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY...

Killing two birds with one stone!

Then, the following morning (whilst preparing breakfast to-go);

THEY SIMPLY REHEAT THEIR LUNCH AND THEN ADD IT INTO A HOT FOOD FLASK, WHICH CAN KEEP THEIR FOOD; WARM, MOIST AND FRESH FOR UPTO 14 HOURS!

Meaning; no more cold, dry, tasteless, meals eaten in front of work colleagues that inevitably ask 'On a diet again?' As soon as you pop open the Tupperware and the smell of sour cabbage takes over the room... Mmmmmm delicious!

bonus tip

On a side note; when it comes to meal selection...

IT'S BEST TO ROTATE YOUR FOOD SOURCES CONSTANTLY, SO YOU DONT EAT THE SAME FOOD WITHIN A 4 DAY PERIOD...

AS NOT ONLY WILL VARIETY IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF STICKING TO YOUR DIET...

BUT IT'S ALSO GOOD FOR YOUR DIGESTIVE HEALTH AND IMMUNE SYSTEM (WHICH I'LL COVER IN MORE DETAIL IN ANOTHER BLOG).
