Fat Loss Made Easy By Adele Davies

The Truth About Exercise And Mental Health | Part 1

Don't worry, we get it!..

A 'MAGIC PILL' FOR 'WHATEVER AILS YOU' WOULD MAKE LIFE A HELL OF A LOT EASIER...

ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO OUR MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH...

BUT UNFORTUNATELY THINGS JUST DON'T WORK THAT WAY.

So until Elon plugs us into the Matrix and starts feeding us 'Magic Pills' then we're stuck with good old fashioned hard work I'm afraid!

And even though we don't have a Magic Pill for you, we do have a bitter pill for you to swallow, sorry!..

SO HERE IT IS...THERE ISN'T A SINGLE:

food

exercise

supplement

mindset technique

THAT CAN SOLVE MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS...

AND THE DATA SUPPORTING THE EFFICACY OF PHARMACOLOGICAL INTERVENTION ISN'T THE BEST EITHER!

That said; certain isolated interventions might 'take the edge off' for a while...

But if your mental health has taken a battering and you're struggling to pull yourself out of a hole...

Then it's highly likely that you'll need a more multi-faceted lifestyle solution, including...

1) sleep quality and duration

Over 90% of the people that come to us for help (who are dealing with mental health issues) have dysfunctional sleeping habits.

Meaning they don't get enough quality sleep each night, so they wake up feeling drowsy and experience bouts of fatigue and/or brain fog throughout the day...

Which results in poor eating habits and a reliance on stimulants (caffeine and sugar) to keep them going, which perpetuates the 'low mood' cycle.

2) nutrition quality

Most people only consider nutrition in the context of weight loss, which means they only ever consider 'eating less' and not 'eating right'...

Which seems like a massive (and potentially deliberate) oversight when you consider the abundance of evidence correlating the food we eat with our emotional wellbeing.

So, if you are struggling with mental health issues and you know your diet is a 'mess', then you really should delve into the micronutrient value of your diet, to identify any nutritional deficiencies linked to emotional wellbeing.

3) movement

I'm sure you've heard that exercise and mental health go hand in hand and that exercise is beneficial to emotional well being...

But that doesn't always mean 'formal' training sessions in the gym with a Personal Trainer, that's hell bent on trying to kill you with squats (which in many cases can actually make things worse!)

The truth is (a lot of the time) all we really need is a physically (and mentally) stimulating hobby that we enjoy...

Ideally performed outside, in direct sunlight with plenty of fresh air!

4) supplements

Certain supplements have shown to be effective when helping to enhance our mental health, especially (certain) vitamins, minerals, amino acids and essential fatty acids (EFA's).

But supplements should (ideally) be used to 'plug a nutritional gap' so that we can get our body back to baseline sooner, facilitating faster progress en-route to a more robust state of mind.

5) medication

Advising on medication is beyond our remit so we'll leave that one to the experts...

But what I will say is this; any good (evidence based) Doctor who keeps up to date with the latest scientific evidence (with a genuine interest in your wellbeing) should be suggesting a combination of the points above and not just deferring to a 'Magic Pill' solution.

the bottom line

So, if you're looking to enhance your mental health, then forget the 'Magic Pills' and take stock of your lifestyle and the way you're treating your body overall...

Because from our experience, once you take ownership of where you're at, and commit to the lifestyle changes that you need to make, you'll be back on track before you know it!

So, there you have it! You now know exactly where to start on improving your mental health with lifestyle solutions, I hope you've found it useful.
