INSTRUCTIONS

Start by heating the olive oil in a pan over a medium heat until hot, then add the the onion and minced garlic and cook (stirring frequently) for 5 minutes (or until the onion is soft, squidgy and slightly translucent).

Next, add the minced beef into the pan , before breaking it up with a spatula (or spoon) and increasing the heat slightly. Then add in the carrot while browning off the mince.

Next, add in the Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, basil, dried herbs, stock cube, spinach, mushrooms, salt and pepper, before stirring well.

Then add the tomato passata, and stir again before leaving to simmer (on a low heat) for around an hour.

Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the pack instructions. Then drain and toss with a teaspoon of olive oil to keep the spaghetti from sticking.

Finally, when both the pasta and Bolognese are ready, add the pasta to a plate, before adding the Bolognese, then topping off with fresh basil and grated cheese.

Serve and enjoy!
